The Story
The Sound of Music”, Book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse: The final collaboration
between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. When
a postulant proves too high-
*Hannah Rivers plays Maria Rainer. Captain Georg von Trapp is portrayed by Cameron Williams. His children are played by Kate Kellum (Liesl), Patrick Burke (Fredrich), Caroline Hale (Louisa), Elijah Short (Kurt), Maggie Booz (Brigitta), Riley Cullen (Marta), and Amanda Burke (Gretl). Steffanie Vaughn is the Mother Abbess; Mary Lea Williams is Elsa Schrader; Roberts Bass is Max Detweiler. A large cast of community volunteer actors portray nuns, guards, neighbors and house staff for the von Trapp family.
Alvin Tyndall is the Director for The Sound of Music. He currently serves as the Artistic Director of the Stained Glass Playhouse and has directed over 25 productions for the playhouse.
